Coming together from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, our skilled team of professionals is the backbone of Stand Up Survivor. Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of our organization. Read on to learn more about some of our incredible team members.
Lisa Alexander M.S.
Founder & Executive Director
Lisa founded Stand Up Survivor in 2015 as a result of surviving domestic abuse.
She has Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters's in Counseling Psychology.
She is currently a doctoral candidate completing her research on Domestic Violence.

She has combined her experience, education, and passion to create a platform and organization where people can find answers, hope, healing, and the courage to Stand Up for themselves, their children, and their future.
Jasmine Giebenrath M.S.
Secretary
Jasmine has a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology. She is a former teacher who currently works in the defense training industry.

Jasmine supports Stand Up Survivor's mission in any way she can, and loves seeing survivors thrive as they become free from domestic violence. She is happily married and has two amazing children.
Sylvie Vanessa Soares
Board member
As a survivor of domestic violence, Sylvie Vanessa Soares is determined to help families that have been devastated by the family court system. After seeing so many go through the same ongoing fights, she decided to turn her pain into her true purpose.

She’s deciding to take her passion for helping to a national level. Following her heart, she’s been led to an opportunity to join Stand Up Survivor to be a voice for the silenced. She’s out-spoken, strong-willed, and is unafraid when it comes to sharing her story, she’s continuing her mission to spread awareness and vows to help as many overcome what may seem like the impossible.
Ginnelly Carrasco MSW
Clinical Director
Ginnelly is an alumnus of the University of Central Florida for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for 12 years, and she has a passion for serving and advocating for marginalized and disenfranchised populations.
She believes that it's part of her mission and purpose to help those who want to heal, then pay it forward and help others heal, healing the world one person at a time.
Gracie Da Silva-Parrett
Levantate Sobreviviente Program Director and Counselor
As a survivor of domestic violence, and having witnessed and assisted survivors of abuse for over 11 years, Gracie was determined to make a change. She went back to school and became a Social worker to better assist survivors of abuse. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Central Florida and her Master's of Social Work.
Gracie works specifically with the Hispanic and Latino community through their Levantate Sobreviviente program. Gracie is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

As a cancer survivor, she has a unique perspective of working dually with survivors of domestic violence and cancer.
